Care Guide

Your jewellery has been handmade using natural inclusions in high-grade jewellery resin. The resin will preserve your inclusions, but it also requires gentle handling.

Occasionally, there may be small bubbles in your jewellery. Whilst we do our best to minimise this, they are sometimes unavoidable and are because they are handcrafted. We do make sure that any bubbles are not going to affect the integrity of your piece, please contact us if you are unhappy with your jewellery because of this.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to give a 100% guarantee that your piece won’t change its appearance. The resin will gradually age, becoming slightly yellower over time, as all resins do. It may also become scratched or slightly dented with wear, particularly in beads and rings. Looking after your resin jewellery will help slow this process.

Please observe the following to preserve your piece:
  • Scrapes
Try to avoid bumping and scratching your piece as this could damage it. Avoid using tools and doing manual work with the piece on

  • Water
Do NOT submerge your jewellery pieces in water. Resin is NOT waterproof, only water resistant. So please remember to remove your jewellery before showers, swimming, washing up etc.

  • Heat
If your piece is exposed to temperature fluctuations, it might expand and contract, causing the elements inside to separate.

  • Sunlight
Store your jewellery out of direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the resin to discolour and soften.

  • Smoking
If your piece is in regular contact with smoke it will usually yellow over time. However, some of our smoking resin jewellery clients have worn their pieces for years without discolouration.

  • Chemicals
Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals and cleaning products. This includes antibacterial hand sanitiser, perfume, hair spray, cleaning solutions, nail polish remover, chlorine etc.

We are happy to remake your piece should the colour change significantly within the first six months. We will also keep any unused milk for twelve months from receiving it, so if your piece changes during this time and you would like another one, you can purchase more. We can also replace lost items using the remaining milk.
